Latest Update on HTC Clubhouse & Courtyard Upgrade Project

Over the past 6 months, there have been a large number of upgrades and improvements made to the Club, with more work still to come. The Hawthorn Tennis Club Clubhouse & Courtyard Upgrade Project is a significant asset improvement project that has been co-funded and executed by the Club and City of Boroondara.

Just prior to Christmas 2024, the new courtyard deck was completed, which was the final task to be ticked off for 2024. Thank you to Blended Services Group and City of Boroondara for a fantastic job! Our courtyard is now a fantastic space for members and guests to relax post-match, watch the kids’ tennis lesson, host functions, or enjoy warm summer evening BBQ’s together.


Key activities remaining and to be finished off in 2025 include:

  • Construction of a ‘Green Pergola’ over part of the deck for greenery and shade.

  • New Clubhouse furniture.

February Friday Nights Social Tennis from 6.30pm

Each Friday in February, commencing Friday 7th, we will be holding Friday Night Social Tennis from 6.30pm.

Members and guests welcome, as well as anyone who has been inspired by the AO and would like to check out the Hawthorn TC with a view to maybe getting back into tennis!

BYO tennis shoes and a racquet (we have a small number of spare racquets at the Club if you have forgotten yours). Nibblies provided.
